We are a 12 month (weekly or weekend) lake front rental home.
Eagle’s Landing is a uniquely furnished four bedroom and two bathroom (weekly) rental home which is in operation twelve months a year. The house originally started out as my family’s summer home and I have an abundance of wonderful memories from the past years. The Lakehouse was purchased in the 1970’s as a seasonal (June, July and August) residence. My husband and I purchased the home from my family’s estate in the fall of 2019 and began the long journey of renovating the original summer cottage to make it suitable as a 12 month (weekly) rental home. The original shell of the home was used as the structural foundation and after one and a half years of remodeling, we are proud of the updates, changes and one of kind creation we named “Eagle’s Landing”.

🦅The name for the Lakehouse occurred quite naturally as we are quite lucky to have the Thompson’s Lake Bald Eagle often use one of our large white pine trees as a resting and hunting location during the day time hours. The two large Bald Eagles actually live at the other end of Thompson’s Lake but appears to enjoy our massive pine tree as their perch to spot fish swimming in the lake. 🦅
✨Thompson’s Lake is a clear, spring fed mountain lake located in the Helderberg Mountain range of upstate New York. The lake is 2.5 miles long and the deepest area of the lake is 60 feet. The lake is stocked with a variety of fish by New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The lake is relatively private although there is a New York State State Park at the other end of the lake and also a public fishing access ramp. Full time as well as seasonal residents own pontoon boats, small sailboats, fishing boats, jet skis as well as kayaks, canoes and rowboats. Some local residents bring their kayaks and canoes to the lake for an afternoon of fishing or exercise. Eagle’s Landing does provide our guests with eight different kayaks, three paddle boats, two row boats and two canoes. Life preservers as well as paddles and oars are readily available for our guests. (We are dog friendly so life preservers are also available for your canine family members)✨
✨The 210’ beach area for Eagle’s Landing is comprised of small rocks and a natural type of shale. Water shoes or “expendable” sneakers are highly recommended as the small rocks can be a challenge for sensitive feet. We have a safe and sturdy dock which leads into the water from the beach. The dock can be used for swimming, fishing or as a place to tie one of our many boats. The end portion of the dock is large enough to comfortably seat a handful of adults in lawn chairs and allows for a fabulous view of the entire lake. 🌟We also have an 18’ O’Brien water carpet which is a favorite of children and adults.
